The Child Development Center is a privately owned, not-for-profit learning center providing quality day care for children ages six weeks to five years of age.  The Center is designed to meet the individual needs of young children by providing creative, fun and stimulating experiences in an attractive, clean and safe learning environment.

Created in 1994, the center is located on the local high school campus and was developed under the National Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) program sponsored by the Dept. of Labor.  QCDO also provides 12 jobs for low-income mothers through this program

QCDO / Y.O.U. hires the best-qualified people to provide the care needed to assist your child in their early development stages.  A nurse is on duty five days a week to handle any emergency that may occur during our Development Center hours.

Child Group Classifications

  • Infants - Even the youngest child can learn about the world around them through the warmth, love and attention shown to each child.  Our infants receive all the care they richly deserve.

  • Young Toddlers - Young toddlers are active explorers and very curious.  Our toddlers are offered a variety of activities that are carefully planned and fun for them.  They are exposed to music, stories, art and much more.  We enhance learning skills through activities and programs that develop language and communication skills.

  • Discovery Days - The 3-year-olds are eager and inquisitive learners.  We try to capitalize on their eagerness to learn by offering programs that incorporate the basic fundamentals of learning with those elements of life that interest children of this age group.

  • Pre-Kindergarten - Our Center program helps prepare our children for kindergarten by developing the child with a diverse amount of skills.
